Deluxe natural linen roman blinds

made to measure linen blinds

Ada & Ina use only 100% natural linen fabrics sourced from the very best factories. You can order linen blinds by colour or style (including plain, patterned, or striped). They're ideal for the living room, hallway, and bedrooms – we also make wide and extra wide roman blinds with blackout lining for maximum light control.

Linen is an eco-friendly material (as it is made from flax plant fibres and is naturally renewable), and we use the most environmentally friendly technology available today to make our blinds. Our printed fabrics are made by pigment printing, which does not consume as much power and water as other printing processes. Furthermore, the inks we use are OEKO-TEX® certified, which means they comply with ecological standards and do not contain any harmful substances. When you shop with us, you get eco-consciously made blinds.

Amazing offers: We are currently offering 20% off on roman blinds made of our beautiful Abby White and Adria Natural fabrics. Shop our collection, and remember to order free samples to see how the linen colours look in your home, particularly against sunlight.

Linen Blinds - Made to Measure Linen Roman Blinds

Made-to-measure blinds

We make made-to-measure linen roman blinds, as well as linen blend or cotton blinds. Simply choose a fabric and enter your desired measurements – your price will be instantly calculated for you, and once you place your order, our in-house team will get to work creating bespoke blinds that are a perfect fit for your windows and home.

And you don't have to worry about placing separate orders for fittings and fixtures, as we'll provide you with everything needed for installation. It's super easy to put up our blinds! They can be fixed to the ceiling (top-fix) or wall (face-fix). Our blinds have a premium cassette blinds system that includes:

  • Top/face brackets with screws and wall plugs
  • Aluminium bottom bar sewn into the blind to help it retain its shape
  • Good quality chain with a safety device
  • Installation instructions

We strongly recommend you order free sample swatches before placing your order. While the photos on our website offer a close representation of the colours, they aren't necessarily true to life due to different screen settings. And make sure you read our measuring guide for roman blinds – we share detailed instructions and photographs on how to measure your windows for outside and inside blinds, and where best to install headrails.

FAQs

Is linen suitable for Roman blinds?
For several reasons, yes. Linen is a quality fabric that offers a soft yet sophisticated look. The way it looks when sunlight comes through it is unique and beautiful (though, of course, if you wish to prevent light from coming inside your room, you can order blackout roman blinds). It’s also durable, with relatively easy care and maintenance. And it comes in a variety of weights, textures, colours (and prints), so you can pick the one that suits your home best. Plus, it’s an eco-friendly choice of material as linen is made from flax plant fibres, which is naturally renewable.
Are linen roman blinds hard to keep clean?
Not at all. While roman blinds can gather dust in their elegant folds when kept in the open position, you can easily dust them clean with a soft cloth. If there’s a stain, you can always dry clean them or gently hand wash them in a clean basin or sink. Of course, care and maintenance instructions will vary from fabric to fabric, and you should remember to double-check the washing instructions. (For example, we recommend you take our printed linen fabrics to the dry cleaners to avoid any damage and to preserve their lovely linen look.)
Should roman blinds be inside or outside the window recess?
Both have their pros and cons, and ultimately this will come down to personal preference. If you hang your roman blinds inside the window recess, you get a neat and tidy finish. However, the blind may block some light when rolled up. If you hang your roman blinds outside of the window recess, then you don’t have to worry about light being blocked when it is rolled up, and simultaneously you can block more light when it is rolled down. Plus, it allows you to place items on the window sill. However, it may be difficult to install the blind to the lintel above the window, particularly if it isn’t made of wood. That being said, our blinds come with screws and plugs that allow you to fix the headrail to concrete or stone walls or ceiling.
